I suck at scrapbooking. Yes, I admit it. I’m terrible at it, and I hate it. There’s the glue and the little scraps of paper everywhere and all the little thingies you have to make match and look nice. Blech! They look so nice and of course I want to make a record of the kids’ childhoods for them, but scrapbooking? No way!
After years of inner turmoil (complete with my own string section) it finally occurred to me that scrapbooking is not the only acceptable way to document. And on top of that, there’s something else I like doing, am pretty decent at, and have been doing on a limited scale already for years. Writing! Duh.
Anyway, Shubinesque is our family journal. George (Mr. Hubby to you) and I have been married since March 1996 and have managed to bring six charming children into the world between October 1998 and March 2008. We live in West Linn, OR (suburb of Portland) and are happy to have family all around. Thank you for being a part of our lives.
